A few short words.... "Yeah and the Titanic was only a dinghy."

I’ve decided to actually type some updates out instead of just posting pictures.

For those that haven’t heard I got a job working for the largest electrical distribution house on the west coast. Their currently in five states and have about 87 stores. Right now there are five or six stores under construction. Ever expanding… My current position warehouse / inventory control, and sometimes back up driver. In addition to that I also fill orders that are placed by our salesmen, offline, and from other stores around the west coast. Just to give you an idea of what my day consists of; I get to work at around 6:15 am so I can start at 6:30. Usually I go look for orders that where left over from the day before and fill those.

Orders range in size from one or two small items to one or two pallets full. So after I fill the left over orders I move on to the ones that where placed while I was doing the other ones. While I’m doing this we need to check in and put away the stock that was dropped off in the wee hours of the morning before the store opens. We try to get the stock done by late afternoon so we can work on the items that get dropped of by UPS, FED-EX and other various courier companies. Recently I usually don’t stop working unless it’s my lunch time, and then back to doing what ever I was doing before I went to lunch.

Our company supplies mainly electrical contractors (large and small), businesses, and other supply houses. We do a little business from “walk ins” meaning the general public.

I’ve been really happy here; everything about it is awesome, from my manager, to my co-workers, customers, and all the way up to the owners of the company. I actually talked with one of them this morning. He’s really nice and makes you feel like your talking with just another co-worker. Stuff like that makes me feel like I could work there for a while.

Having Dan out here was a lot of fun, and I’m glad we got to spend time together so I could get to know him better, and I felt that I did. While he was out here I think he unknowingly was sharing his artistic inspiration with me. I first realized this one day when I started to work on our business web site again. I got on the computer and got into a working groove. I spent a few hours that day on updating, and correcting stuff that I had made early on in the sites life. Since then I have done more work on our site and added a few more items. Check it out! Tell your friends. http://geocities.com/pixierestoration/

So Dan, I thank you from my artistic heart.

P.S. My shoe laces haven’t come undone in over a week and a half.

Old friends. Posted by Picasa
After spending all day at the zoo with Nicky and Elaine, we met up with Dan and David and went over to the "U" district, which is near the University of Washington's campus. We went to B&N to talk and get somthing to drink. As we were leaving we took a group shot.  Posted by Picasa
These are the actual colors of this butterfly. The colors were extremely vibrant on all the ones we saw. There was one that I would have liked to gotten a picture of but it was near the top of a near by tree. It was mostly black, had a large bright blue spot on it's back, and it was larger than this one..  Posted by Picasa
Nicky and I took a walk through the butterfly enclosure. Both of us took oodles of pictures of all the butterflies. Here two are "geeting it on" on a flower which was by my leg.  Posted by Picasa
Here's Nicky looking quite perplexed by my taking a picture of him at the zoo last week. Say cheessseee. Posted by Picasa
Here we all are at the Big Rock Garden, near Lake Whatcom, just a bit NE of town. I've tried this kind of shot before and it never seemed to work. This time it did. Sweeet.... Posted by Picasa

Here we stoped at one of the sculptures and Adrian was showing Dan some rocks he found.

Here Dan took a shot of us tromping through the old growth forest. The tree that's back behind Adrian would take about 11 adults hand in hand to go around just the trunk. Posted by Picasa
Here we are at Nooksack Falls just off of Mt. Baker Highway. It was a perfect day to be out and about. Posted by Picasa
That's us towoards the middle of the picture. We where really lucky to have gotten that spot when we did, because a few mitues after we got there a huge family walked by looking for a spot. It was our own little island in a sea of snow. Posted by Picasa
